We may be the only company starting out with the dual objective of making a profit and helping the working poor.
Like many people, I was insensitive to this problem until my son Bob (you can meet him in the testimonials section) brought it to my attention. His concern began with city ordinances that restricted the number of residents in a home. Yes, the same city whose businesses were extracting more and more profits from the very people they sought to chase away.
Who Are These People?
Except for an accident of birth, they are you and me, hardworking, honest, family oriented, yet caught in a descending spiral of escalating and inescapable debt.
What Are We Doing?
For starters, we are setting aside 10% of every sale and we aim to have a fund equaling $100,000 in about a year. We will use that money to partner with community service organizations and local businesses to create our first “Co-opportunity”. Best described as a small business corporation, owned and operated by employee partners where the goal is an equal marriage of quality product alongside a living wage.
It’s a kind of pay it forward franchise, where the partners can earn enough to get decent medical and dental care, pay down debt, and learn life skills to help their families for generations to come.
How Can You Help?
We make what is arguably the best adult cookie in the world. Besides feasting regularly on these delights, share them as well as our story with your families and friends. If you do only that, we will all come out winners. And if you want to do more, contact us at
